Meet the Farmers helperTatonkaHello. My family calls me Tonk for short. You'll find me watching over all my farm friends and keeping them safe. When I'm not doing that, I like to play fetch, run around the farm, and of course follow the farmer and his wife while they do all their chores.
Be sure to check out the link below to see what keeps my family busy around here. |

ABOUT SILVER FOX RABBITS Silver Fox rabbits are an American Heritage breed and considered multi-use for meat and fur production. They can dress out at about 65% of their live weight which makes them a popular breed to raise for meat.
The fur of the Silver Fox rabbit is unique and classified as "stand up" fur. It stands on end until stroked back into place, is dense and stands up to 2 inches in length. It greatly resembles the pelt of the Arctic silver fox. This trait is not found in any other breed. The fur it is quite soft and fluffy. The breed comes in a variety of colors, such as black, chocolate, blue and lilac. Kits are born with solid coloring and begin to show silvering at about 4 weeks and this continues until they are 4 months old. Does make excellent mothers to large litters, and have great milk production to care for her young. They're wonderful as foster mothers too! They are gentle, love attention and are easy to raise. They are excellent pets for children as they have even tempered personalities. |
